Designer Reference

Alphonse Mucha was a famous artist asociated with the art nouveau movement his work apears in the left of the picture. This has inspired not only catwalk but highstreet fashion too the pattern used on this tunic from forever 21 is similar to the work of Alphonse Mucha.

We wanted our make up design to include flower shapes aswell and art nouveau shapes and patterns.

Similar to this picture however not using as many flowers. This work was created by Laura Tallentire. This design was inspired by flowers and glamour. This was created using material flower and make up however our design will be created with make up only.

Inspiration

Art Nouveau has inspired many movements includinfg fashion. Many famous designers have featured art nouveau inspired pieces in their catwalk collections including Prada and Alexander Mcqueen.

Pradas 2008 spring collection was inspired by the art nouveau movements. Garments featured classic colours including greens and blues. Many pieces are almost fairy like and similar to the style we are thinking of using for the pattern used on our model. The background of this image has also given us ideas of what to use for our photoshoot background as it ties in with our theme and idea.
The lines on this particular piece flow and swirl across the garment. This is the effect we want to use in the design of our models make up.

Scene Magazine

These are some previous magazine covers that have been published. They all have a certain style which really makes Scene magazine covers unique from the rest. Looking at the close shots and how they use their model in the picture. Do they focus on the face? on the hair? the garment? the shape of the body?
Alot of things we need to take into consideration when we are designing and creating our front covers.
